Security BSides is a community-driven cybersecurity conference built by practitioners, for practitioners. Unlike large commercial events, BSides focuses on accessible, real-world knowledge sharing in a relaxed environment where attendees can learn from peers, ask questions freely, and connect with others across all experience levels. You’ll find a mix of talks, hands-on sessions, and informal hallway conversations, affectionately called "hallway con". Whether you’re new to the field or a seasoned professional, a BSides conference creates a welcoming space to explore ideas and build skills as part of the local security community. Learn more about the BSides framework and global community.
Hallway Con is the unscheduled interactions that happen between sessions—conversations in hallways and shared spaces where ideas flow freely. It’s often considered the most valuable part of a Security BSides event because it fosters authentic connections, spontaneous problem-solving, and knowledge sharing free from the bounds of a formal talk. Hallway Con helps build community relationships beyond the event.
We have NO TOLERANCE for physical/verbal/sexual harassment of any person at BSides Greenville! Anyone needing to report any instance of harassment should contact a volunteer team member in a blue shirt immediately! While we want and encourage everyone to have a great time, we also want everyone to feel included and welcome in a safe environment.
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
